Indiana Bennetto

Polo Player

Indiana “Indi” Bennetto is that rare combination of brains, beauty, and bravado. The talented horsewoman, who admits she “eats, sleeps and breathes polo”, has been chasing the polo dream in the northern and southern hemispheres since graduating from university.

Hailing from Gundy in New South Wales, not far from Scone, the horse capital of Australia. Indi was raised in a prominent polo and horse breeding family; the adrenaline of the sport and the camaraderie made a perfect match for the highly competitive Indi.

Indi is currently rated a 2-goal handicap player in mixed tournaments, and a 6-goal handicap player in ladies’ tournaments. In 2019 Indi became the first female to win the Australian Gold Cup and went on to win the Australian Open Medium Goal in 2020 and 2021.

Indi splits her time between Australia and New Zealand and credits her partner, 4-goal handicap player Nick Keyte, as a major influence on her love of the game and professionalism. With the recent arrival of their second child, Gracie, a little sister for their two-year-old son James, Indi and Nick have their hands full not only traveling the world playing polo but also managing two properties, Larapinta Equestrian in Australia, and Auckland Polo Academy in New Zealand.
